In plain terms: when you click a shopping link on Coolest Guide and then buy something on Amazon, Amazon pays us a small commission. This costs you nothing extra — the price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or not. These commissions are how we fund the site.

How Our Outbound Links Work

Every shopping button on Coolest Guide routes through our own redirect endpoint at /out/[deal-id]. Each outbound link already carries the Amazon Associates tag configured for the retailer site at the time of publication, and the redirect records one anonymous tracking event — deal ID, referral code, country and timestamp — before forwarding you to the retailer with an HTTP 302 redirect. No personal data is collected in this step.

How Links Are Marked

Affiliate links always open in a new browser tab and carry the link attributes rel="sponsored nofollow noopener". The sponsored attribute declares the commercial nature of the link to search engines, and noopener protects your browsing session. We consider this the transparent minimum our readers deserve.

Editorial Independence

Commission potential never decides which products we feature. We select deals based on the size of the discount, the usefulness or novelty of the product, and the quality of verified buyer feedback. If a product is not genuinely interesting or good value, it does not appear on Coolest Guide — no matter what it would pay.
